Ready and Resilient theme poster for 2022"Ready and Resilient" is the theme for the annual American Public Works Association (APWA) 2022 National Public Works Week poster. This year's dramatic poster showcases the superheroes that lie within each and every public works professional. Always READY to serve their communities, and RESILIENT as ever in their abilities to pick themselves up off the ground after encountering challenges.

The Open House also provided opportunities for kids to meet staff from the participating agencies and learn the importance of the contributions of public works to their daily lives.

Back by popular demand, there were also live demonstrations, various displays and exhibits, children’s activities, giveaways, and free hot dogs for hungry bellies. Many Public Works vehicles, like the Vactor Truck and one of MPWD's heavy duty service trucks, were also on display and available for kids to explore.
