MPWD Celebrates Water Professionals Week!

As part of California’s tenth annual Water Professionals Appreciation Week, the MPWD is proud to take a moment and highlight the essential role of water professionals and local public water agencies in providing water and wastewater services. Thank you for all you do!

MPWD appreciates the dedication of our highly trained operators, technicians, and other specialists who have continued to make sure our community has safe and reliable water service. If you see MPWD workers out and about this week, be sure you say “thank you” for their service. 

Water Professionals Appreciation Week was established in 2017 by the California Legislature to spotlight the essential work of the nearly 60,000 water and wastewater professionals statewide. MPWD is honored to join the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) in this observance and extends gratitude to its staff for their service and dedication.

Whether it’s working with customers out in the field, collecting and analyzing samples in the lab, or shaping complex policies and regulations, there is a place in California’s water industry for anyone interested in managing and protecting this life-sustaining resource.
