The Mid-Peninsula Water District (MPWD) is proud to participate in the 2026 City of Belmont's National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm, at the Barrett Multi-Use Field at 1835 Belburn Drive (Barrett Community Center). For additional locations and further details, please visit the City of Belmont's website here.

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual, nationwide event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. This year marks 43 years of partnering neighbors with law enforcement across the nation with 17,000 communities and 38 million neighbors now participating in this unique event.

Join us for a fun and informative evening of BBQ, Belmont’s birthday cake, a bouncy house, family-friendly activities, and connecting with City staff and community partners. Our hosts – Belmont Police Department, San Mateo Consolidated Fire, Belmont City staff, and the City Council – will be once again joined by the MPWD, Rethink Waste, Recology, and San Mateo County Libraries as kids and adults of all ages interact with Police Officers, the Community Emergency Response Team, and Public Works (as schedules permit).

Meet Penny Drop, MPWD’s new water awareness ambassador

MPWD staff will be on hand at the MPWD booth to engage with neighbors, answer questions about the water district, provide water conservation literature and take-home goodies, and show off MPWD's very own water distribution system model. PLUS! Penny Drop, MPWD’s new water awareness ambassador, will be on hand for photos and fun with all attendees.
