Get Involved with SMC's Local Hazard Mitigation Plan

The Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) evaluates hazard vulnerabilities and outlines mitigation actions that local jurisdictions, like Mid-Peninsula Water District, will implement to minimize injuries, property damage, and community disruptions caused by disasters. It addresses both natural and human-caused hazards, including flooding, drought, wildfires, landslides, severe weather, terrorism, cyber threats, pandemics, and the impacts of climate change.
