NEW Water Efficient Landscaping Ordinance
The Mid-Peninsula Water District conducted a public hearing at its regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 6:30 pm. Ordinace No. 115: Water Efficient Landscaping Ordinance was adopted and will become effective February 1, 2016.

Implementing stage 2 water shortage response of water shortage contingency plan regarding mandatory restrictions on outdoor water use. The following Ordinance was presented to the Board of Directors and open for public comment at the Board of Directors Meeting held on Thursday, September 25, 2014.

An ordinance establishing, updating, and recodifying the rules, regulations, and fees for water service by Mid-Peninsula Water District and superseding all prior district ordinances and amendments thereto. Version considered by Board of Directors on February 24, 2005. Includes revisions to reflect discussions at January 27, 2005, April 22, 2010, and May 27, 2010 Board Meetings.
In coordination with the City of Belmont's permitting process, the Mid-Peninsula Water District (MPWD) reviews customer landscape plans regarding commercial and residential new development / construction, remodels, or additions on all lot sizes in excess of 1,000 sq. ft. in compliance with its Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (WELO).
