SUMMARY OF PROJECTS
MAIN REPLACEMENT: The City has informed us of their overlaying project plans for next year and working in conjunction with them we are replacing mains where needed on those streets.
DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT: To better maintain our vehicles and save costs in the future we will be purchasing diagnostic equipment.
VEHICLES: This year we will be replacing 2 of our trucks. #780 is a 2000 model with over 120,000 miles and #785 is a 1999 model with over 100,000 miles.
MASTER PLAN: Our current master plan was produced in 1991 therefore as part of our strategic plan we will be revising the cureent Master Plan.
PUMP VALVES @ HANNIBAL: The current pump valve at Hannibal Pump Station allow backflow when the pump shuts off causing high pressure in zone 1. We will be upgrading to valves that will work simutaneously with the pump shutdown to avoid pressure spile in zone 1.
EUCALYPTUS TREES @ EL CAMINO & F STREET: Due to oversized trees and liability issues and continued maintenance we are going to replace the Eucalyptus trees with trees that better suit the City of Belmont, San Carlos and the water district.
LARGE WATER METER TESTING: Every other year we have an outside contractor test our large meters (2" or larger) throughout the system.
