2007 Water Awarness Poster Contest
MPWD sponsored a Water Awareness Poster Contest for students in the 3rd through 5th grades. The purpose of this contest was to help increase water awareness through our children, encouraging them to use their imagination and creativity. Aside from education benefits, the 3 winners chosen and the classroom with the most participation received gift certificates. Our MPWD Board President, Matthew P. Zucca, had the privilege of presenting the certificates to the winners of the contest. MPWD staff is proud of all 49 students who took their time to create such beautiful artwork. MPWD staff developed, printed and assembled a 2008 calendar displaying all the artwork. The top 12 posters are individually displayed in each calendar month.
